Resolved: Arfy Should Stop Barking Her Fool Head Off Every Time a Bird Flies By

It is my position, and has long been my position, that unnecessary barking is not only a nuisance, but a long-term negative factor in humanity’s estimation of our own risk assessment.
I’m missing a leg. I know about risk. Barking should be used sparingly.
Sharing a home with a dog that barks, incessantly and in piercing staccato, for no reason, whatsoever, is a grievous existence.
To wit: Whenever a UPS deliverer drives by, she explodes in barking. When a motorcycle zips by, she explodes in barking. When a dog or human is known to be passing our home on the sidewalk, she explodes, again, in barking. To date, no UPS drivers; no motorcyclists; no pedestrians have attacked our home.
And if so much as a lone bird – a mere bird! – alights into the sky, and “Arfy” is aware of it… more barking.
It is inefficacious. It is founded in illogic.
It is simply out of control.
